Mini Fashion Session | Olivia's "Night Out"

"Elegance is the only beauty that never fades"
-Audrey Hepburn

If there is one thing to be said about Olivia it is that she is one of the most elegant youngins' I have ever met!  Her presence is never without grace and she has an impeccable sense of style.

A combo of natural beauty, sophistication, and youth made her so easy to photograph.

This shoot was another mini fashion session for D.C. based boutique Proper Topper's fall brochure

Enjoy!

Brunch in the City | Georgetown Mini-Post

Brunch (noun): Sunday motivation to get out of bed

Everyone that knows me, knows that Brunch is my favorite thing ever!  Who doesn't love sleeping in on a lazy Sunday but still being able to eat delicious breakfast noms mixed with lunch?

I so happen to work a wonderful place where my boss decided to host a Sunday Funday Brunch at her GORGEOUS house in Georgetown.

Color me happy.

Here are just a few shots of the delicious food thrown together by my fellow coworkers.

CAUTION: Mouth will water!

Enjoy Xx

Britaney Chanel | Music Vision

Some people dream.....
Some people go after their dreams.

When Britaney emailed me asking if I would take photos of her to promote her music I was super thrilled! Britaney and I went to high school together and had many mutual friends.  Lucky for me, one of these mutual friends is my best friend.  (Never underestimate a good recommendation and word of mouth!)  As you can imagine my bff pimped me out and ta-da --Britaney connected with me.

This shoot was so refreshing because it was very different than any other I have done.  First, It was taken in a dance studio and I'm used to doing shoots outdoor.  In addition, most of my clients don't really know what they want and give me free reins to photograph them any which way.
Which is wonderful, but also leaves me in a bit of a panic because I know what I like and how I'd like them to look, but I don't know how they want to look or their vision.  With Britaney is was different! She went into the shoot knowing exactly what she wanted and what she wanted to portray but gave me just enough artistic freedom!

Even better-- I got to do her makeup! This I have never done at a shoot and during this time we got to chat a lot.   I learned so much about her throughout the entire process....from the day we met up to discuss details until the actual shoot.  To top things off, Britaney's vision of editing was on par with mine and right up my alley!

Overall this was such a good experience and I gained a fabulous and caring new friend :)
Britaney is a beautiful soul.  She is hard working and determined and I wish her much success and hope all of her dreams come true!
